THE IRIDESCENT PROJECT

Introducing a collection of concept materials for creating an iridescent lighting effect. Iridescent refers to the display of luminous, changing colors when viewed from different angles. I was captivated by this effect and the ongoing trend in design, and devoted a week to conceptualizing my own artistic ideas.

The Process
I began my concept development by visualizing the final image in my mind. I carefully considered the model, colors, and artistic style to use. I then continuously refined and added elements such as lighting, camera movements and rendering until the final product was complete.
I utilized Cinema 4D as my 3D software for the project. I imported the model I selected from Sketchfab.com and created the materials for the model, added lighting, and imported customized HDRIs to achieve the desired iridescent effect. I also used Cinema 4D for animating all of the sequences. I rendered everything using Octane Render for Cinema 4D.
After rendering the scene with an alpha channel, I imported the PNG sequences into Adobe After Effects where I edited the sequences, created transitions and improved the color using color grading. The final step was importing the video into Adobe Premiere to cut any unnecessary clips and add sound effects."
I find working with this concept to be incredibly enjoyable as it allows me to explore and apply new techniques and ideas. It's exciting to push the boundaries and see the final result of my experimentation.
